Anyone watching it? My brother's been following it, and I just heard about it.. I hear it's Z with more action, less talking, and powering up that DOESN'T take an entire episode to do.. Opinions? I saw an episode yesterday, and it's frigging awesome. I'm gonna start from the beginning and work through it again.

Ya, I heasrd about it when it started airing. Its just a edited version of Dragon Ball Z to more closely follow the manga and updated to be widescreen. Apparently most of the voice overs are re-done too. It looked tempting, but I have already seen DBZ countless times, so I decided to skip it to make room for new animes that I haven't seen. Maybe something I could look forward to later on...

Yeah, i saw the first opening and part of the first episode....and than i was like "I really don't care enough to watch it again." Thats not to say i think it's bad or anything, but i've seen DBZ alot when i was younger, so i really didn't feel the need to watch it again.

Well, I kinda want to check it out. Maybe I will soon. I mean, if you're gonna re-watch DBZ it's probably better to use a version that's not stretched out to hell. lol

Like Sailor Moon they seem to keep trying to do other stuff with it.

Sounds kinda neat. A plus if it doesn't do that powering up junk. Lol, that got annoying.

I wouldn't say that it's new or anything, it's really just an HD version of the show minus the filler and long power up scenes. Basically the show DBZ should have been in the place. The only reason why the anime had really long power up scenes was because the anime was so close to the manga.

Once again, to shift away from the neg bombs, I think it's cool. Akira Toriyama is a great mangaka and now his work gets a rebirth and is exposed to a new generation. As cool as DBZ was, kids tend to shy away from tv shows that are super old, this'll give them the chance to experience it, and since it's also new and different from the original, it also allows the older fans to return to their anime roots. Plus people want money and DBZ creates it anywhere it goes. lol

Very true! Lol...all I could think of through that post was how that related to the Lunar series, lol.

Yeah i could see Sailor Moon being able to do that, probably the original Gundam as well.
